GRANT PARK — There's a new spin on Lollapalooza this year: a free roller rink.

The roller disco next to a new arcade bar debuted near the music festival's Perry's Stage at Columbus Drive and Balbo Avenue Thursday.

Skates are free, but socks cost $3 if you need them.

The roller rink is under the same tent as a makeshift arcade featuring classic games, including Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga and Donkey Kong. There's a bar serving beer, wine and other beverages, too.

The four-day music festival kicked off Thursday with opening acts including Golf Clap, Kweku Collins and Honne.

Severe weather in the forecast could disrupt headliners later Thursday such as Migos, Cage The Elephant and Lorde. Stay tuned here for any updates.
