CHICAGO — The Taco Bell steps from Wrigley Field is closing, and while the fast food place will be missed by many as a handy stop to get a bite to eat, Yelp reviews suggest others will definitely not miss it.

Back in 2015, we looked into the Yelp reviews of the Taco Bell at 2575 N. Clybourn Ave. which one reviewer claimed "out of a fantasy." Those rave reviews have continued since.

The Wrigleyville Taco Bell isn't quite as highly regarded, though judging from the 169 Yelp reviews, its memorable for "next-level" drunk people-watching and also for being "NIGHTMARE IN HELL."

After a long stint of going to this Taco Bell three times a week, James D. said he would no longer do that and wrote a real-time review of his nightmarish experience:

Of course, for many this Taco Bell represented the quintessential Wrigleyville experience of going out for a night of drinking then wanting to get tacos:

Wrong orders seem to be a theme here:

A screwed-up order for Becca S. had her pining for a Taco Bell in the suburbs, maybe because Taco Bell is the best Mexican food in some suburbs.

Some Dan M. is a bit more forgiving to the Taco Bell that is a magnet for neighborhood drinkers. "The people who work here are either captives or saints," he said.

Food, service and cleanliness aside, the Taco Bell has its share of five-star reviews. According to Sean R.: "The people watching is next-level." That might be what we remember this spot for the most.
