Westside Music Festival Brings Dru Hill To Douglas Park Aug. 19

Chicago Westside Music Festival

NORTH LAWNDALE — The Chicago Westside Music Festival will welcome top music acts and local talent to North Lawndale later this month  — all for free. 

The family-friendly fun starts at 11 a.m. Aug. 19 with Ald. Michael Scott Jr.'s 24th Ward end of summer celebration and the Westside Music Festival kicks off at 4 p.m. at Douglas Park, 1401 S. Sacramento Drive. 

Hosted by WGCI's Leon Rogers, soul group Dru Hill, R&B songstress Vivian Green and rapper Lil' Mo are all slated to headline the sixth annual fest. 

Top local talent will also take the stage, including Kilika Tabron, Dej Monae, Yohan, Matt B. and Marcus Mac. 

This year's festival is presented by BMO Harris Bank and produced by the Westside Cultural Foundation.
