UPTOWN — A pop-up market featuring 13 vendors of handmade goods and a performance from Daniel Connolly is headed to Uptown in August.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 13, the Crafters and Musicians summer pop-up market will be held at 4956 N. Sheridan Road, according to the founder of the market Alexandra Jamroz.

Jamroz, who sells her handmade jewelry from her brand MAKA Designs at markets and on Etsy, has combined the "good things" she's learned from selling at those markets to put together her own in an attempt to bring the crafters in the community together, she said.

While she's put together about a dozen on the North Side in Bowmanville, Lincoln Park and Andersonville, this will be the first market held in Uptown, she said.

Vendors will be selling drawings, glass home accessories, soaps, desserts, jams, home fragrances, paintings, photography and more, she said.

Crafters include: Jewels by Rossi, Lavender Story, LuDesigns Creation, Scrapglass Fusion, Neighborhood Arts, Gingershells Boutique, Lily Niederpruem,, Neighborhood Goodz, Wendys Art Glass, Sarah Helen Borochov, and Muffin & Schotzee's Art Boutique, according to a press release for the event.

Live music will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Jamroz said.
