ALBANY PARK — Nighthawk Coffee Bar & Tavern has kicked off a film noir series on Tuesday evenings.

Swing by the bar, 4744 N. Kimball Ave., at 9 p.m. to catch Burt Lancaster in 1949's "Criss Cross." A quick synopsis, according to IMDB.com: "An armored truck driver and his lovely ex-wife conspire with a gang to have his own truck robbed on the route."

Free popcorn will be served.

The series is hosted by filmmaker and Albany Park resident Michael Caplan.

Previous Noir Night movies have included "The Postman Always Rings Twice" and "Double Indemnity."
