
CHICAGO — At least seven businesses in the Portage Park and O'Hare neighborhoods were burglarized since July 11, according to a police alert issued Sunday.
In each incident, someone got into the building by breaking its front windows or "forcibly kicking or prying open" a door, police said.
The burglaries were reported at the following times and locations:
• At 12:30 p.m. on July 11 in the 3400 block of North Central Avenue
• At 5:18 a.m. on July 12 in the 6000 block of West Belmont Avenue
• Between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on July 14 in the 4200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue
• At 3:44 a.m. on July 21 in the 5600 block of North Cumberland Avenue
• Between 4:35 and 4:40 a.m. on July 23 in the 5100 block of West Belmont Avenue
• Between 5:50 p.m. and 11:14 p.m. on July 24 in the 8100 block of West Higgins Avenue
• At 2:50 a.m. on July 27 in the 4400 block of North Milwaukee Avenue
