DUI Crackdown Coming To The South Side This Weekend

BRIDGEPORT — Police will be cracking down on drunken drivers in the Bridgeport-based Deering District this weekend.

Officers in the district will conduct a DUI Saturation Patrol in the district from 7 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday. During the crackdown, police will be looking for impaired drivers, people not wearing their seatbelts and other scofflaws.

In addition, police will conduct roadside safety check from 6 p.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Monday in the 4300 block of South Western Avenue, stopping cars to check for impaired drivers and other violations.
