OLD TOWN — The Old Town Merchants and Residents Association welcomes a new restaurant to the neighborhood with its quarterly social.
The association's Summer Social takes place from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lady Gregory's, 1525 N. Wells St.
Lady Gregory's has been an Andersonville staple for years at 5260 N. Clark St. and has just opened an Old Town outlet.
The social costs $10 for association members and is open to the public for $15 for non-members. An optional whiskey tasting will cost $20 for three samples, but otherwise selected cocktails will be half price and "heavy appetizers" will be available.
"There will be neighbors and local business owners and members of the ... board in attendance to mix, mingle and chat about important neighborhood updates," according to the association.
The association asks that those interested register in advance online Monday.
