Car Thieves Targeting Hondas In Irving Park And Albany Park: Police Alert

IRVING PARK — Honda owners beware: Car thieves appear to be targeting the brand in Irving Park and Albany Park.

Police issued a community alert for the Albany Park (17th) District, prompted by eight individual reports of Honda thefts between late June and mid-July.

According to police, all of the cars were parked legally when they were stolen.

The incidents took place:

• 4100 block of West Eddy Street on June 22-23, between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m.

• 3800 block of North Kedvale Avenue on July 7-8, between 8 p.m. and 12:50 a.m.

• 4700 block of West Grace Street on July 8-9, between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

• 4900 block of North Troy Street on July 10-11, between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• 3100 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue on July 11-12, between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m.

• 4100 block of North Mozart Street on July 11-12, between 7 p.m. and 9:30 a.m.

• 3200 block of North Talman Avenue on July 12-13, between 7:30 p.m. and 9:20 a.m.

• 4300 block of North Richmond Street on July 12-13 between 6:20 p.m. and 7:20 a.m.
