HUMBOLDT PARK — A 30-unit apartment project is coming to a busy stretch of North Avenue in Humboldt Park.

Chicago-based developer Property Consultants Realty snagged a $4.35 million construction permit to build a six-story, mixed-use development at 1554 N. Talman Ave. earlier this week, according to Chicago Cityscape, which tracks online permits.

The project calls for 30 apartments, as well as a parking garage with room for 24 cars, first floor offices and a rooftop deck, according to the permit and the office of Ald. Joe Moreno (1st), whose ward includes the site.

It's unclear how much rents will be. The developer didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The site has been vacant since last year, when a commercial building that housed Wrightwood Auto Parts Co. was razed, according to Curbed, which was first to report on the construction permit.
