LOGAN SQUARE — You don't have to trek all the way to Millennium Park to watch an outdoor movie this summer.

Comfort Station, the nonprofit arts organization that operates out of the distinctive cottage at the square, is pairing silent film screenings with live music shows from local acts for its fifth annual "Silent Films and Loud Music Series" over the next two weeks.

Most of the events, featuring screenings of films like "A Trip To The Moon" (1902) and "The Passion of Joan of Arc" (1928) and live scores from musicians like Alexa Grae and Miah Luz, will be held on the lawn next to the Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave., weather permitting.

Thursday's event — "Within Our Gates" (1920) paired with live music from Paul Giallorenzo and Ben Lamar Gay — will be held at Hyde Park Art Center, 5020 S. Cornell Ave.
