Man Shot Downtown At 3 P.M. Monday Near Lower Wacker

DOWNTOWN — A 33-year-old man was shot in his stomach Monday afternoon on Lower Garland Court near Michigan Avenue, police said.

The man took himself to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after the shooting at 2:57 p.m., police said. The incident was on Garland near Lower Wacker Place, which connects to Lower Wacker Drive.

The shooting was a block west of Lower Michigan and north of Lake Street. 

Police said Monday night the victim was sitting in a car when another man walked up and shot him. The victim was uncooperative when asked about the shooting and has since been released from the hospital, police said. 

No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.
