NORTH PARK — Thousands of bikes are reported stolen in Chicago every year and only a small percentage are ever recovered.

This unique Johnny Loco cargo bike, swiped Saturday morning from a North Park family, shouldn't be hard to spot if the thieves try to resell it online or dump it at a pawn shop.

The rightful owners have reported the theft to police and listed the bike on the Chicago Stolen Bike Registry.

Owners suspect the theft was planned, and would have required more than one person, and a truck, to lift and transport the bike.

The bike had been locked to a pole in the owners' garage.
