HUMBOLDT PARK — Now's the time to load up on Turkish kilim pillows, ceramics and wall hangings.

Humboldt House, an independently-owned shop known for its diverse selection of eclectic, vintage-modern wares, is having a big summer sale with 20 percent off everything in the store — yes, everything — through 6 p.m. Sunday.

On Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., local ceramist Manal Kara will be at the shop, selling one-of-a-kind pieces. Beer will be provided to shoppers.

Since Claire Tibbs opened Humboldt House, 1045 N. California Ave., in 2013, it has become a go-to spot for unique gifts and housewares along the California Corridor between Division Street and Augusta Boulevard.
