Jerame Moore, 30, Killed In Garfield Park Shooting; Another Wounded

CHICAGO — A person was shot to death and another wounded in Garfield Park early Wednesday, police said.

At 12:26 a.m., the men were standing in an alley in the 4000 block of West Lake Street when someone fired shots at them, police said.

A man, identified as Jerame Moore, was hit in his head and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Moore, 30, of the 10500 block of South Oglesby, was pronounced dead at 12:50 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed Moore died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

A 37-year-old man was hit multiple times in the side of his body and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
