7 Wounded In Shootings Since Monday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Seven people were wounded in shootings on the city's South and West Side between Monday morning and Tuesday morning, according ot police.

• Most recently, at 5 a.m. Tuesday, a 26-year-old woman was shot in her hand in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said.

• Around 11:27 p.m. Monday evening, a 60-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of South Hamlin Avenue in North Lawndale when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

He was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound in his leg, police said. Police did not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• Around 6:40 p.m., a 21-year-old man was standing in the 0-100 block of South Pulaski Road in the West Garfield Park neighborhood when someone shot at him and ran away, police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with gunshot wounds in his head and groin, police said.

Police said the man is gang-affiliated.

• About 5:34 p.m., two men were in a car in the 4300 block of South Ashland Avenue in Back of the Yards when someone pulled up in a light-colored van and shot at them before driving away, police said.

One man, 22, was shot twice in his left ribs, police said. Police said the man is gang-affiliated.

Another man, 23, was shot in his left hand, police said.

Both men were brought to Stroger Hospital, where they were considered "stable," police said.

• At 10:13 a.m. Monday, a 32-year-old man was shot in his arm in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

• At 10 a.m., a 37-year-old man was shot twice in his right hip in the 1300 block of South California Avenue in North Lawndale, police said.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

No one was in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
