CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood between Monday morning and Tuesday morning, police said.

• Around 5 a.m. Tuesday, the woman was treated for a gunshot wound in her hand at Norwegian Hospital, but she was released "before officers could interview her," police said.

The woman told hospital staff that she had been walking in the 1600 block of North Sawyer Avenue when she heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

• At 10:13 a.m. Monday morning, the man was walking in the 1000 block of North Central Park Avenue when he saw a gray car turn the corner, heard gunshots and felt pain, according to police.

He brought himself to Norwegian Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
