CHICAGO — A 33-year-old man was shot dead in Woodlawn on Tuesday morning, police said.
At 8:12 a.m., the man was found dead in the 6400 block of South Ingleside Avenue, police said. He had been shot in his neck and officers were investigating his death as a homicide.
The man was identified as Curtis Sylvester Posey, of the 10700 block of Avenue L, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Posey was pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m. and an autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshots wounds in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
