CHICAGO — A Kenwood woman has been charged with murder after allegedly running another woman down with her car and leaving her to die on the West Side.

Kenya Washington, 28, of the 4600 block of South Ellis Avenue, has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder, said Officer Brandy Wright, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman. Washington was arrested Saturday.

At 5:06 p.m. May 17, Washington got into an argument with someone in the 300 block of North Latrobe Avenue, police said. She then got into a car and hit several people, dragging one woman under the car, police said.
