CHICAGO — Victims of domestic violence, including a 12-year-old girl slain earlier this month, will be honored during a Friday march.
The march comes one year after the stabbing death of Jessica Hampton, who officials said was slain by her ex-boyfriend while they rode the Red Line. Attendees will pay tribute to Hampton by marching from Washington Park to the 47th Street Red Line station, where Hampton was killed.
The event will honor other women and girls killed by domestic violence, including Alexis Stubbs, 12. Officials said Stubbs was beaten and stabbed to death by her mother's boyfriend on June 11.
