Two Boys, 15 And 16, Shot And Wounded In Englewood

CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy were shot and wounded in Englewood on Saturday, police said.

At 4:17 p.m., the boys were standing outside in the 5500 block of South Shields Avenue when several people walked up, fired shots and then got into a silver-colored car and drove away, police said.

The 15-year-old boy was hit in his head and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

The other boy was hit in left leg and he took himself to Comer Children's Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

Police originally said both boys were 15.

No one was in custody.
