Woman Raped Mid-day In Irving Park By Man With Knife

IRVING PARK — A 26-year-old Irving Park woman was raped by a man with a knife in the middle of the afternoon Wednesday, police said.

The assault occurred at about 1 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Irving Park Road, as the woman attempted to enter a building.

The man followed her inside, knocked her down, produced a knife and sexually assaulted her, according to police.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old Hispanic male, 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds. His dark hair was pulled into a bun, and he was wearing a black T-shirt, tan cargo shorts and black slip-on sandals.
