
CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was fatally shot in Ashburn on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The victim was in a car in the 8100 block of South Kedzie Avenue when someone opened fire about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, Chicago Police said in a statement.
The victim was shot multiple times and rushed in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The man was identified as Christopher Johnson, of the 6500 block of South Carpenter Street, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Johnson was pronounced dead at 2:51 p.m. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
