NORTH CENTER — Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro regained its crown as People's Choice winner at Ribfest Chicago, the sixth total for the restaurant.

The restaurant is located at 3905 N. Lincoln in North Center.

For the second year in a row, Woodstock-based BBQ King Smokehouse closed out the three-day pork fest with judges' Best Ribs title.

Gideon Oji, tipped to play spoiler during the annual RibMania eating contest, took home the $1,000 winner's check after putting away 4.06 pounds of ribs in eight minutes, narrowly topping former champ Miki Sudo, who gnawed her way through 3.95 pounds.
