3 Killed, 13 Wounded In Chicago Shootings Since Friday Morning, Police Say

CHICAGO — Three people were killed and 13 other were shot in shootings in Chicago since Friday morning.

Four of the people shot were high-school age teenagers.

Officers fatally shot a man who shot at a patrol car from a Washington Park alley, police said.

In Roseland, a man was killed in a drive-by shooting.

A man was shot dead in Park Manor Friday afternoon.

In non-fatal shootings:

• In Albany Park, a woman was shot answering a knock on her back door early Saturday morning, police said,

• A 27-year-old woman was shot while standing outside in Humboldt Park.

• Also in Humboldt Park, a 17-year-old boy was shot Friday night. 

• In Washington Park, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back while walking in the 1st block of East Garfield Boulevard at 6:45 p.m. He was taken to Stroger Hospital.

• Minutes earlier and blocks away in Englewood, two men were shot. The incident occurred in the 200 block of West Garfield Boulevard at 6:21 p.m.

A 21-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in his chest. A 29-year-old man was taken to University of Chicago Hospitals after being shot in his left knee.

• In Auburn Gresham, a 16-year-old girl was accidentally shot in her arm by someone else. The incident occurred in the 7900 block of South May Street at 1:58 p.m. The girl was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center after someone else pulled out a gun and accidentally shot it.

• In West Garfield Park, two people were shot while in the 4200 block of West Congress Parkway at 12:50 p.m.

The two were shot by someone inside a silver sedan.

A 27-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in his back while a 20-year-old woman is in serious condition after being shot in her leg. Both were sent to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Police said the woman was a documented gang member.

• A 35-year-old man was shot while on the stretch of Lake Shore Drive near 57th Street.

• In Washington Heights, a male victim of unknown age was shot while in a car by an unknown gunman. The shooting occurred in the 1400 block of West 99th Street. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition after being shot multiple times in his torso.

• In Humboldt Park, a 38-year-old man was shot in his left leg while in the 1100 block of North Hamlin Avenue at 9:45 a.m. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

• A 17-year-old was shot on a sidewalk in Back of the Yards at 6 a.m. The shooting occurred in the 5200 block of South May Street where an unknown gunman sitting in a parked gray sedan shot in his direction before the car drove off west on 53rd Street.

The teen was taken to Stroger after being shot in his left arm and chest.
