Hyde Park Shooting Wounds Man, 34, Getting Out Of Car

CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Hyde Park on Wednesday, police said.

At 5:16 p.m., the man was getting out of a car in the 5300 block of South Cornell Avenue when someone walked up to him, fired shots and ran away, police said.

The man was hit in his side and arm and was taken to Northwestern Hospital. His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
