LINCOLN SQUARE — The documentary "Exodus," which examines the ongoing refugee crisis and incorporates footage shot by refugees themselves, will screen at the Davis Theater as part of a fundraiser for Windy City Friends of Refugees.

Proceeds from the event will be used by the group to co-sponsor a family resettling in Chicago this fall through Refugee One. The money will cover the family's rent and expenses for six months, and Windy City Friends will also furnish the family's apartment and stock the pantry in advance of their arrival.

Tickets for the movie are limited and must be bought in advance (click here). A $60 donation includes food and drinks before the show, priority seating for the movie and popcorn. For $20, donors receive a ticket to the movie, plus popcorn and a pop or beer.

The screening begins at 7:30 p.m. June 14 at the theater, 4614 N. Lincoln Ave.
