Irving Park Shooting Wounds Man, 22, Walking Outside, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Irving Park wounded a 22-year-old man early Sunday, police said.

At 12:32 a.m., the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of West Addison Street when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He was hit in his lower abdomen and he was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man is a documented gang member, a police source said.

No one was in custody.
