LOGAN SQUARE — Logan Square bar-goers now have another place to drink outdoors this summer.

The Native, 2417 N. Milwaukee Ave., on Tuesday debuted its outdoor patio, which has room for 50 people.

The no-frills bar, which opened in November, replaced late-night dance spot Bonny's, which closed in late 2012 amid a lawsuit between the owners and the landlord.

Bonny's was known for its rowdy dance parties, its 4 a.m. liquor license, cheap drinks, red light and bad decisions. The Native, on the other hand, has the feel of a regular Midwestern bar.

"I'm not going for too much. I want something that will last," owner Jared Savvochi previously said. "I wanted it to be a throwback to the bars I grew up going to."

The bar has 10 taps featuring beer from local breweries like Revolution Brewing and Half Acre Beer Company, as well as a small signature cocktail menu. There's no food menu, but patrons can order heat-and-serve pizzas and munch on free popcorn.
