CHICAGO — Police Thursday released photos of two cars involved in a carjacking in which a person was also shot in South Loop earlier this week.

In the incident, which occurred in the 2200 block of South Wabash Avenue at 1:39 a.m. on Tuesday, two masked men got out of a silver Jeep Cherokee and demanded money from two men, 28 and 26, who were standing outside their vehicles.

The 26-year-old tried to run away but was shot. The gunmen did not harm the 28-year-old but drove off with his 2006 blue BMW 4-door sedan with license plate ZZ23656.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 312-747-4383.
