LOGAN SQUARE — Calling all fans of Pipeworks Brewing Co.: The brewery is getting its own Logan Square taproom — but only for 10 days.

For Chicago's craft beer week, Pipeworks has completely taken over Emporium Logan Square's pop-up event space, 2367 N. Milwaukee Ave.

The pop-up taproom, named "Pdubz Pipedream," runs Thursday - May 27. Each day, there's a different event planned, from bocce ball brunch to karaoke night.

Founded in 2012, Pipeworks brews out of a facility on the western edge of Logan Square at 3912 W. McLean Ave. The brewery opened a bottle shop last year, but a permanent taproom isn't in the cards right now.

"We're always talking about it, but there's no immediate plans. It's something that down the road we'd love to do," said Kate Brankin, director of marketing and a brewer at Pipeworks.

That's why the Pipeworks team jumped at the opportunity to partner with Emporium on a pop-up.

"It is really nice because it allows us to have direct interface with a lot of consumers and we otherwise wouldn't have that. It's great to drink beer with other people," Brankin said.
