CHICAGO — Shootings in Humboldt Park have wounded two men on Monday, police said.
• At 1:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man was in the 1100 block of North Monticello Avenue when he was shot in his shoulder, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
No further information was immediately available.
• At 10:50 a.m., a 24-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of North St. Louis Avenue when a green-colored car drove past and someone inside fired shots, police said.
The man was hit twice in his lower back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
