ANDERSONVILLE — Hallie Borden and her sister Dana Karlov are ready to open up shop and celebrate.

From 6-9 p.m. on June 2, the sisters will celebrate the opening of Honey Bridal, 5135 N. Clark St., and the fifth anniversary of Milk Handmade, 5137 N. Clark St., according to a Facebook page advertising the event.

The event is free and open to the public, but the owners ask that those planning to visit RSVP. There will be cocktails and a whiskey tasting courtesy of KOVAL Distillery, sweets courtesy of Sugar Hills Bakery, florals courtesy of Wild Floral Design and a Fotio photobooth, according to the event page.

"Honey is a modern wedding shop where you are free to be exactly who you are. We stock dresses and separates that range from understated and untraditional to full-on ball gown," the duo advertised in their event listing.

Karlov hails from the wedding industry, while Borden is a former corporate marketing professional who opened Milk Handmade in 2012.
