LOGAN SQUARE — Logan Square Neighborhood Association released its list of auction prizes for tonight's big fundraiser.
Now in its ninth year, the "I Love Logan Square" fundraiser, which doubles as a neighborhood party, is set for 7-11 p.m. Friday at Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center, 4048 W. Armitage Ave.
At the fundraiser, you'll have a chance to win one of nearly 100 Logan Square-centric prizes, including a year's worth of Bang Bang Pie, gift certificates to an array of local shops like City Lit and Wolfbait & B-girls and experiences like dinner with Rep. Will Guzzardi or a guided kayak tour of Skokie Lagoons.
The live auction begins at 8:15 p.m. It'll be followed by a 100-person pinata game and a dance party with DJ Smiley and DJ Mighty Narrow. The auction will end at 10 p.m.
There will be beer from Revolution Brewing, margaritas, aguas frescas and locally-made food.
This year's theme is "sanctuary," which aligns with the organization's sanctuary school mission. Local artist Norma Rios Sierra is creating a monarch butterfly pinata for the occasion.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the organization, which prides itself on working to support "all of our neighbors — especially the long-term immigrant families, for whom Logan Square has been home for decades."
Tickets cost between $25-$95 and can be bought online.
