LOGAN SQUARE — For the third year in a row, one of the neighborhood's most prominent galleries is putting the spotlight on the next generation of local artists.

About 25 teens from four local high schools — Roosevelt, Schurz, Aspira and Taft — are featured in the exhibit, "Around the Corner," at Hairpin Arts Center, 2810 N. Milwaukee Ave. The opening reception is set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The annual exhibit was created by nonprofit Northwest Arts Connection to bring together the entire community, including artists of all ages, to engage with work from young artists who are "just around the corner" from their adult lives.

For months, the young artists have been hard at work creating pieces that address this year's theme: "Who am I?" #theREALme.

The teens are being mentored throughout every step of the process, from concept to de-installation.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.
