ROSCOE VILLAGE — The finish line is coming into focus for the reconfiguration of the Western-Belmont-Clybourn intersection, but as the project enters the home stretch, conditions won't be completely painless for drivers.
In the coming weeks, Western Avenue will be reduced to a single lane of traffic — northbound first, for a week, followed by southbound — while crews prep the roadway for installation of new bus pads at Roscoe and Addison, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.
Northbound Western Avenue will be affected between Roscoe and Addison from Monday through Friday, while southbound Western Avenue will be reduced to one lane at Roscoe from May 8-12.
