Chicago Shootings Kill 4, Wound 3 Others, Since Friday Morning

CHICAGO — Four people were killed and three others were wounded in shootings since late Friday morning, police said.

A 31-year-old man was sitting in a minivan Friday night in Hermosa when he was fatally shot in his head.

In Austin, a 31-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed.

A man was killed and another was wounded in an evening Roseland shooting.

A 27-year-old man was killed in Austin late Friday morning.

In non-fatal shootings:

• A 17-year-old boy was shot in both legs while hanging out with a friend in Chatham.

The incident occurred in the 9200 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue at 6:26 p.m. Someone with a gun approached the friends on foot and fired at the victim.

The boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

• In Austin, a 19-year-old man was shot in his left shoulder.

The incident occurred in the 100 block of North Laporte Avenue.

The man took himself to West Suburban Hospital where he is in fair condition.

The victim is being uncooperative, according to police.

No arrests have been made in any of the incidents.
