CHICAGO — An Austin man is dead after being shot in the neighborhood late Friday morning, police said.
The man was outside when two gunmen walked up to him and shot him. The incident occurred at 11:22 a.m. in the 200 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue.
The man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as John McComb of the 800 block of North Leamington Avenue, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made.
