LOGAN SQUARE — A 43-year-old man has been charged with sexual abuse after he allegedly grabbed a 6-year-old girl in a Logan Square grocery store, police announced Saturday.

Noe Moreno, of the 2200 block of N. Narragansett Ave., faces one felony count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 9, according to Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

The incident occurred at 9:30 p.m. April 15 in the 3900 block of West Diversey Avenue.

According to a Police Department community alert], a man walked up to the girl, motioned to her and kissed her on her cheek. The man also grabbed the girl's hand and put it into his pants pocket.

When a relative of the girl confronted him, the man ran out of the store, police said.

Members of a Shakespeare police district tactical team arrested Moreno in the 2600 block of North Milwaukee Avenue around 8:15 p.m. Friday, according to a tweet.

Moreno is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing at the Cook County Criminal Courthouse at 2650 S. California on Saturday.
