RAVENSWOOD — On your mark, get set, get ready for the annual Ravenswood Run 5K.

Participants will be racing, or walking, their way through the neighborhood Sunday morning, which means street closures and parking restrictions will also be in place over the weekend.

The run kicks off at 8 a.m. from the starting line at Wilson and Hermitage. Affected streets include portions of Lawrence, Lincoln, Damen, Ravenswood and Montrose.

Parking restrictions have already been posted and will be in effect along the route from 4-11 a.m. Sunday.

Streets that make up the race's route will be closed between 7:30-9:30 a.m. (See map below.) Police officers will be stationed along the route and will reopen streets as runners pass through.

Additionally, streets along the start and finish lines will be closed 4-11 a.m. to accommodate pre- and post-race activities:

• Hermitage Avenue between Sunnyside and Leland avenues

• Wilson Avenue between Paulina Street and Ravenswood Avenue (east side)

• Ravenswood Avenue (east side) between Wilson and Leland avenues

The run benefits the Ravenswood Community Services Food Pantry.
