CHICAGO — Shootings killed at least two people and wounded 43 over the weekend, police said.

One person has been killed and nine wounded since Sunday.

• At 2:39 a.m. Monday, a 33-year-old man was shot to death while waiting on the Garfield Red Line platform.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 12:25 a.m. Monday, a 40-year-old woman was shot in Garfield Park, police said. The woman was standing with a group of people in a vacant lot in the 300 block of South Kilbourn Avenue when she heard shots and felt pain.

The woman was hit in her abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

• At 11:27 p.m. Sunday, an 18-year-old man was shot in West Englewood, police said. The man was driving in the 2300 block of West 58th Street when someone in a gray car pulled alongside him and someone in the car fired shots.

The man was hit in his legs and taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. His condition was not immediately available.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 9:44 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4000 block of West Jackson Boulevard when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his buttocks and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 9:15 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in Riverdale, police said. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 13000 block of South Drexel when a man fired shots.

The victim was hit in his right and left hips and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 5:48 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was in the 7200 block of South Green Street when someone walked up to him and fired shots.

The man was hit in his thigh and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 4:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was in the 7200 block of South Halsted Street when someone walked up to him and fired shots.

The man was hit in his foot and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 12:42 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The boy was in the 3600 block of West Roosevelt Road when he was shot in his upper left leg.

The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 12:10 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The man was standing in the street in the 1400 block of South Homan Avenue when a man in a passing gray car fired shots.

The victim was hit in his lower back. Someone took him to Mount Sinai Hospital, where the man was in serious condition, police said.

• At 10:54 a.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The man was a passenger in a car parked in the 3500 block of West Douglas Boulevard when a car pulled alongside him and someone inside fired shots.

The man was hit in his left forearm and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said, and investigators thought the shooting was gang-related.

Shootings killed one person and wounded 26 between Saturday and Sunday, and eight people were wounded in shootings Friday to Saturday.
