LOGAN SQUARE — A police chase near The 606 Monday night ended with officers arresting two teenage boys for a carjacking, police said.

Just before 10 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was sitting in her car in the 3200 block of West Dickens Avenue when two teenage boys with guns demanded she get out before stealing her car and driving off, according to police.

Police chased the car until the boys hit a parked car, got out and started running. Officers then chased them near The 606 before arresting them in the 1700 block of North Fairfield Avenue, police said.

Police on Tuesday could not confirm whether the chase ever reached The 606, but unverified police scanner reports indicated officers were running along the trail at one point.

No one was injured in the chase.

Both boys, ages 15 and 16, were charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a weapon, police said.

No further information was provided.
