2 Dead, 3 Wounded In Chicago Shootings Since Friday Afternoon

CHICAGO — Two people died and three others were wounded in shootings citywide since Friday afternoon.

In West Pullman, authorities found a 34-year-old man shot dead in the doorway of a home Saturday morning.

A 21-year-old man was shot dead in South Chicago Friday afternoon.

In non-fatal shootings:

• In West Englewood, a 21-year-old man was shot in his abdomen and right arm at 9:15 a.m. Saturday. He was walking in the 7200 block of South Paulina Street wen two gunmen fired multiple shots.

The gunmen ran east on 72nd Street. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said. 

• A 27-year-old man was shot in his left arm while driving near Foster Park in Auburn Gresham. The shooting occurred at 12:30 a.m. The man was driving eastbound on the 1400 block of West 83rd Street when a car pulled alongside at a stop light. Someone inside the other car fired several shots.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said. 

• In Roseland, a 25-year-old man was shot in his buttocks while driving in the 9800 block of South Wentworth Avenue. The shooting occurred at 3:13 p.m. Friday.

The victim was taken to Roseland Hospital in good condition, police said. He told police someone in a blue Ford sedan shot him.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
