Terry Torrence, 34, Killed In West Pullman Shooting

CHICAGO — Police found a 34-year-old man dead in the doorway of a home while responding to a call of a burglary in West Pullman Saturday morning.

Police arrived at a residence in the 11700 block of South Normal Avenue at 6:22 a.m. and found the man shot in his head and buttocks.

Terry Torrence, of the 8900 block of South Greenwood Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police say they are investigating what happened leading up to the shooting. The victim is a documented gang member, a police source said. 

No one was in custody.
