CHICAGO — John Grubisich has been named the new boys volleyball coach at De La Salle Institute.
Grubisich, a 2008 graduate of the high school, teaches history and religion. He was an assistant coach for the boys volleyball team last season. In addition, he is also entering his third season as a member of the football coaching staff. Grubisich will serve as the head freshman football coach this fall for the Meteors.
"The opportunity to coach this great senior class in volleyball really appealed to me," Grubisich said in a news release. "Matt Carroll, Max Castillo and David Maldonado are outstanding players who provide great senior leadership."
