CHICAGO — Shootings over the weekend killed three people and wounded 28, police said.

Shootings have wounded six people since Sunday.

• At 9:45 p.m. Sunday, a 35-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of North Cicero Avenue when a man walked up to him and fired shots.

The victim was hit in his right leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 7:09 p.m., a 30-year-old man was shot in South Shore, police said. The man was sitting in a car in the 7400 block of South Phillips Avenue when a dark-colored car pulled up and someone inside fired shots.

The man was hit in his buttocks and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 12:46 p.m., a 25-year-old man and 29-year-old man were shot in Little Village.

• At 11:28 a.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in Austin, police said. The boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 200 block of North Lotus Avenue when two people came out of an alley and one of them fired shots.

The boy was hit once in his left arm, once in his right foot and twice in his left leg. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 8:29 a.m., a 17-year-old was shot in Belmont Cragin, police said. The teen was walking on the sidewalk in the 5300 block of West Grand Avenue when a blue Chevrolet pulled alongside him and a man got out of the car and fired shots.

The teen was hit in his left leg and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition, police said.

The shooter drove away, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.

Shootings killed two people and wounded nine Saturday to Sunday, and one person was killed and 13 wounded Friday to Saturday.
