GRANT PARK — Ever wonder what all the skyscrapers coming to the South Loop will look like standing together?
Kind of like this.
Someone on Reddit superimposed renderings of four planned, very tall towers going up near Grant Park on a picture of Chicago's skyline Thursday night.
The result is an image showing that the future of Chicago's skyline will be a bit more balanced between its northern and southern ends. It also shows Downtown's future center of gravity is likely shifting south.
The artist, who did not return a message seeking comment, added renderings of three big planned projects: One Grant Park, 1000M and Essex on the Park. Here they are:
One Grant Park, 1200 S. Indiana Ave. [Crescent Heights]
Construction has already started on One Grant Park, a 76-story tower planned off Roosevelt Road. Once finished, the 792-unit apartment tower at 1200 S. Indiana Ave. would be the tallest in the city south of Willis Tower.
The tower is the shorter of two supertall buildings planned for the corner of Roosevelt Road and Indiana Avenue by Miami-based Crescent Heights, which acquired the property in 2012. Future plans call for a taller, 648-unit condominium tower on the western end of the site and a public park and 100 townhomes off Indiana.

A venture between New York-based JK Equities, Time Equities and Chicago-based Oak Capitals plans to break ground next year on 1000M, a 74-story tower at 1000 S. Michigan Ave. designed by star architect Helmut Jahn.
The residential tower would contain 323 luxury condominiums for sale.
The developer released new renderings of the tower this week as it gears up to start selling condos in advance of construction.

Oxford Capital Group is building Essex on the Park, a 57-story tower at 800 S. Michigan that includes a renovation of the vintage Essex Inn next door.
Oxford converted the landmarked London Guarantee Building at Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive last year into a four-star hotel with a buzzy rooftop bar.
At 800 S. Michigan, the developer plans a mix of 476 apartments and 290 hotel rooms in addition to the rooms it owns in the Essex Inn next door.
The towers join other big South Loop projects, such as Riverline and the yet-to-be-named new neighborhood coming near Clark Street and Roosevelt Road, that aren't pictured here. Vista, the future 3rd-tallest tower in Chicago under construction on Wacker Drive, also isn't pictured.
