LOGAN SQUARE — Calling all rum lovers: A festival completely dedicated to the spirit is coming to the neighborhood.

The third annual Midwest Rum Festival, put on by The Rum Lab, is set for April 8 at the Logan Square Auditorium, 2539 N. Kedzie Blvd.

Both industry folks and at-home bartenders are welcome to attend the fest, which kicks off at noon. Ticket-holders can expect a range of seminars and tastings, as well as guest speakers, including founder of Lost Spirits Bryan Davis, spirit expert Jerald O’Kennard, Barbados-based distiller Richard Seales and Nicholas Feria, who started Seattle's first rum-focused group, The Rum Collective.

From noon-1 p.m., industry professionals will get a chance to taste a variety of brands and meet representatives. Tickets cost $25 in advance and $35 the week of the event.

From 1:30-5:30 p.m., all are invited to attend seminars, tastings and mixology demos, as well as visit local artists' booths. Tickets cost $70 in advance and $90 the week of the event.
