The armed robberies took place in late February and early March, according to the community alert.

In three separate incidents, robbers approached victims who were parking their cars in the rear of a residence. The thieves pulled a weapon and demanded the victims' property and/or car.

The suspect or suspects are described as male, age 18-22, between 5-feet-5 and 5-feet-10 inches tall, and weighing 150-175 pounds.

The incidents occurred:

• 4700 block of North St. Louis Avenue, 11:35 p.m., Feb. 21.

• 4000 block of West Grace Street, 6:15 p.m., March 7.

• 4900 block of North Christiana Avenue, 2 a.m., March 9.

The residential burglaries occurred in March. In two separate incidents, a window screen was cut or removed, and the thief or thieves then entered the home. There is no description of the suspect(s).

• 4400 block of North Whipple Avenue, between 7:50 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., March 8.

• 2800 block of West Cullom Avenue, between 7:45 a.m. and 7 p.m., March 10.

Police are also reporting that numerous cars have been stolen from along Lawrence Avenue the past several weeks.

Between February 5 and March 16, nine cars were stolen, the majority of them with their keys inside.

Four cars were stolen from the 3200-3700 stretch of West Lawrence Avenue and five cars were stolen from the 3800-4200 blocks. Most of the thefts have occurred in the late evening, according to police.
