CHICAGO — A shooting in Lincoln Square wounded a 35-year-old woman Sunday morning, marking the first shooting in the neighborhood this year.

At 2 a.m., the woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 4700 block of North Virginia when she heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The woman was hit in her right thigh and took herself to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
